Buying property in Amman while you live abroad
We arrange video viewings, go through the documents and the power of attorney with you, and follow up the transaction at the Department of Lands and Survey as a licensed real-estate office.

Power-of-attorney checklist (if you cannot attend in person)
- A power of attorney is valid for a maximum of 5 years.
- It is authenticated through the Jordanian embassy or consulate in your country, then the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- No sub-delegation: the attorney cannot appoint someone else.
- Private notaries may not draft powers of attorney to dispose of property.
- The title-deed extract used for the power of attorney must be issued on the same day.

For non-Jordanians
- Ownership needs official approval and is subject to reciprocity.
- Registration fees: 6% when the seller is a private person, 3% when it is a housing company.
- Fees are based on the Department of Lands and Survey's estimated value.
- Ask us before committing: conditions differ by nationality and the property’s location.
Can I buy online?
Not yet. Electronic sale through the Sanad app has not started; the title transfer takes place at the Department of Lands and Survey in person or through your legal attorney. We never pay or receive the purchase price on your behalf.
